The smartphone received 147 points and placed 20th in the overall camera phone ranking. In its price category, it was third, behind only Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 8.

The iPhone 16 camera was praised for its pleasant skin tones and overall color rendition, fast and accurate autofocus, high level of detail in bright light, high-quality video exposure, and effective stabilization even with intense camera movement. The agency concluded that it is a good alternative to the iPhone 16 Pro Max – the difference in quality is not as significant as the price.
